Diploma in Community Health Nursing Technician

This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional values required to promote, prevent, and manage health issues at both individual and community levels.

This program is pending accreditation by the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM) and is aligned with Malawi’s national health priorities, focusing on improving access to quality healthcare services in both rural and urban communities.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can serve as Community Health Nursing Technicians in hospitals, health centers, NGOs, and community-based programs. They play a vital role in delivering essential healthcare, conducting health education, and supporting Malawi’s healthcare system at the grassroots level.


How to Apply

  1. Obtain an Application Form
    • Forms are available at the Admissions Office of Trinity College of Health Sciences.
    • You may also download the application form from the official college website.
  2. Prepare Supporting Documents
    • Copies of academic certificates (MSCE or equivalent).
    • Be aged between 16 and 45 years by the date of application.
    • Possess a full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with four credits in English, Biology, and Physical Science or Physics or Chemistry, plus one of the following science subjects: Mathematics, Agriculture, Home Economics, General Science, or Geography
  3. Submit Your Application
    • Return the completed form and documents to the Admissions Office, or send them via email to admissions@trinitycollege.ac.mw
    • Pay the non-refundable application fee as indicated on the form.
  4. Selection Process
    • Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
    • Successful applicants will receive an official admission letter.
